Privacy Policy

1. Principle: local processing

The data ECOS senses — WiFi networks, Bluetooth devices, signal strengths, movement and estimated people — is processed locally on your device, in the browser or in the Software. We do not collect, store or transmit it to our servers or to third parties, except as stated in section 5.

2. Data we do NOT collect

• We do not collect the signal data you detect or the information of nearby devices.
• We do not use or store your geographic location, even if the operating system asks for the "location" permission in order to list WiFi networks.
• We use no tracking cookies, no advertising and no third-party trackers.
• We do not sell or share personal data.

3. Data stored on your device

Your preferences and settings (your place's floor plan, names, options, calibrations) are stored locally in your browser. That information stays on your device and you can delete it at any time from the tool itself or by clearing your browser data. Uninstalling the Software removes its files.

4. Hosting and technical logs

The site is hosted on Vercel. As with any web service, the hosting provider may automatically log technical data (such as IP address, browser type and the date and time of requests, including Software downloads) for operation, security and abuse-prevention purposes. We do not use these logs to identify you or for advertising.

5. Content you choose to share

If you use the option to share a "snapshot", your place's configuration and the list of what was detected at that moment are uploaded to cloud storage to generate a link. Anyone with that link can view it. This only happens if you request it; do not share a snapshot if it contains information you do not want others to see. To request its deletion, write to fungirak@gmail.com.

6. Permissions

• Bluetooth and nearby devices: used to listen to the signals of surrounding devices, and only enabled if you authorize them in the browser or the operating system.
• Location: Windows and Android require it to list WiFi networks. ECOS does not use it to know where you are.
• Connection measurement: the page makes small test downloads from the site itself. No result is stored on our servers.
• Notifications: optional and used only for local alerts.

7. Third-party device identifiers

The signals ECOS shows may include identifiers of nearby devices (for example, MAC addresses or device names). That information is processed locally. You are responsible for how you use it and for respecting other people's privacy.

8. Minors

The Service is not intended to collect data from minors, and we do not knowingly request or process information from minors.

9. Your rights

You can delete the local information from the tool or by uninstalling the Software. To exercise your rights of access, rectification or deletion over any data we might hold (for example, a shared snapshot), write to us at fungirak@gmail.com.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its last-updated date.
